About Us

Choosing and applying to the University of Pennsylvania is perhaps the biggest decision any high school student can make. The application process is oftentimes overwhelming for domestic and international students alike. Inevitably, even the best high school counselors or counseling services leave many questions vaguely addressed. Caius is a student-run service founded by Penn students within the university itself and upon the needs of prospective and incoming Penn students. As current undergraduate students, the entire team at Caius has experienced first-hand the various challenges of the application process. That more than half the Caius team is comprised of international students allows us to view the process from diverse perspectives. The aim of Caius is to share the experiences of real Penn students with prospective applicants to help them have a better picture of what Penn is looking for, as well as what they can look for in Penn.

Caius provides a genuine and authentic service that few others can offer. By sharing our personal experiences regarding applying to and living at Penn, we hope students can better understand what the school is all about. We are proud that we chose Penn and we understand that applying to college is a major milestone in any student's life. Our goal, however, is not to tell students on what extracurricular activities they should participate in or to tutor them on the SAT, because we understand there are many other services available that can provide such guidance. At Caius, we aim to inspire prospective applicants with our experiences as previous Penn applicants and current Penn students. We believe experience speaks.
